Marple Pop-up Library
The Marple pop-up library service is located at Marple Scout Hut
At the Pop-up library, you can:
- use free computers and wifi to get online
- ask library staff to help you make an appointment with Citizens Advice
- get help to scan a QR code and start a WhatsApp chat with Citizens Advice
- get help to access council services
You'll also find posters and leaflets with information about getting in touch with services who can help you.
There is Storytime every Thursday 11-11.30am and IT volunteers every Thursday 10-11am to help with any IT issues.
Opening hours:
Tuesday: midday to 6pm
Thursday: 10am to 4pm
Whilst Marple Library at the Scout Hut is only open Tuesdays and Thursdays, the opening hours at High Lane Library have been extended every Friday 10-4pm.
Family Hub
This library is a Family Hub which brings together services, organisations and groups that you can access in one place.
Family hubs support families from pregnancy through to young people aged up to 19, or aged up to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Stockport has set a new standard in library services by becoming the first in the UK and Ireland to install an outdoor remoteLocker. This innovative addition aims to enhance accessibility and convenience for residents, offering 24/7 access to pick up reservations and return books.
