Free Community Group Pages on the Marple Website
The Marple Website has been representing the local community on-line since 1998 and offers free web pages to local non-profit making organisations such as the Society of Marple Artists, New Mills, Marple and District Rotary Club, Marple Local History Society, Marple Chess Club, Marple District Rambling Club, Marple Writers' Workshop and Ludworth and Mellor WI to name just a few.

These pages are produced in support of local clubs, non-profit making organisations and charities that wish to become part of the Marple Website Community. This is particularly aimed at local organisations who do not have the means, or knowledge to create their own web pages, or would benefit from being part of a wider community. If you are a member of such group and would like to feature your activities on The Marple Website, then just get in touch. This is a free service with no charges and is open to local clubs, non-profit making organisations and charities only. If you are a group that does have your own web site you will still benefit from joining this community, as it will help you to reach a wider audience and boost your search engine rankings.
The site also provides a wealth of local information and history articles, a forum and notice board for local events and discussions and “The Virtual History Tour of Marple and District” - an ever expanding collection of photographs and postcards that is maintained and updated in collaboration with Marple Local History Society.
The main objective of Marple Website's Design and Hosting work is to fund the annual running costs of The Marple Website and the “Virtual Tour” so that they can continue to expand and grow. Since retiring it also provides a small income and allows me to support local community groups, particularly Friends of Marple Memorial Park, a group looking after our local park that I help to run.
