A busy month for New Mills, Marple and District Rotary
June has proved to be a very busy month for us. We have taken stands at New Mills Carnival and Marple Carnival with the idea of making the public more aware of the Rotary presence within the community. We now have a spiral “Wishing Well” which will help us to raise funds and also give some fun to those making wishes. Leaflets detailing the work of Rotary, both at Home and Overseas were given out and caused much interest. Both adults and children had a go on the “Test your Skill” and Mr President, Bob Lord entertained on his ukulele.
On 21st June we held our Change-over meeting where President Bob Lord handed over the Presidency to Michael Coleman who will serve for the following 12 months.
