Rotary Club Meetings

We resumed face to face meetings at Mellor and Townscliffe Golf Club at the beginning of July and it was good to meet up with members again after so long.

Nicola Patterson came to give us a most enlightening talk about the intricacies of being an Air Traffic Controller. How many of us consider the planning that goes on in the background by the Controllers to ensure our safety both in the air and around the airport. We all take it for granted that we will arrive at our destination safely. It’s obviously a very stressful job and the Controllers should be applauded for their care of passengers and crew.

We shall be out and about with the Christmas float again this year. Once again, children will not be allowed to “visit” Father Christmas on the float due to Covid restrictions.
