Make a Difference Campaign for Laptops into Schools

Make a Difference Campaign for Laptops into SchoolsThe Rotary Club of New Mills, Marple and District are helping with the "Make a Difference" campaign for laptops into schools. We have already helped Taxal and Fernilee Primary School but there are more schools in need of help.

Can you help us provide more devices for children in need of help in accessing their school’s learning programme? If you have a device that you can donate, please contact us to arrange collection and we shall safely wipe the device and link it up with a school in our area to ensure that they reach the students that need the devices the most.

Update...

After an appeal to the public, New Mills, Marple and District Rotary Club have been collecting spare laptops and ipads from members of the public who wished to donate to the “Make a Difference Scheme”. It is our aim to distribute these devices, once having been safely wiped, to schools who can in turn loan them to pupils who are struggling to access their school’s online learning programme.

Rotary laptops to schools

So far we have been able to donate to Taxal and Fernilee Primary School, All Saints Primary School Marple, Combs Primary School, Furness Vale Primary School, Ludworth Primary School and Rose Hill School, all who had expressed a need for devices.

Many thanks to all those who have donated to this worthy cause.
