Churches Together, Marple

Churches Together is an over-arching group supporting, promoting and representing all of the churches in the Marple area. Their main aim is to "Recognise our unity, celebrate our differences, witness the love of Christ and help people follow Him".

As well as holding their own programme of events and promoting all of the Marple area's churches, Churches Together is responsible for Mellor Cross at Cobden Edge. The Cross was first erected by Churches Together in 1970 and has since become a much-loved and much-visited landmark as well as a symbol of Marple's Christian unity. The cross was replaced with a new one by Churches Together in 2018.
